The One Act team performed “Shipwrecked! An Entertainment—The Amazing Adventures of Louis De Rougemont ” at the Regional D Tournament at Potomac High School in Loudoun County and won first place on Feb. 18. This means the One Act team will move on to the state tournament in Charlottesville on Mar. 8. In addition to the team winning, senior Louis Gibson won the Outstanding Acting Award at the event.
“It felt amazing, and even at this point it still hasn’t set in on what we exactly did. It’s my fourth year doing One Act, so I’ve done one acts in the past and we haven’t advanced,” Gibson said. “So to be able to do that and win, and after putting in so much work, starting off in September all the way to now, it finally pays off. Being able to share that with my whole cast and the crew and the directors, because we all put in so much effort into it, and being recognized feels good.”
