On Friday, Feb. 16 senior Guillermo Torres competed in the quarterfinals and semifinals of the 5A state wrestling tournament, and on Saturday, Feb. 17, he competed in the finals and placed second.
Torres competed at Oscar F. Smith High School in Chesapeake, Virginia and was supported by various members of the school and community, including seniors Randee Joven, Madisyn Coburn, Lawan Rasul, Johan Roqueta and Zhear Haji, as well as supporter and vice principal Eric Miller and coach Billy Bower.
